MVTV Thailand, a prominent satellite and IPTV broadcasting company with over 22 million viewers, sought to improve their quality control system for their 100 HLS streams. Partnered with major media conglomerates like Warner Bros. Discovery and TVB, MVTV offers a diverse range of channels in multiple languages and serves viewers across 20 countries in Asia.

To address their challenge, Elecard provided an effective solution by installing Elecard Boro probes at the headend station and content distribution network. These probes enabled the monitoring of all 100 HLS streams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content to millions of viewers.

The implementation of Elecard Boro brought remarkable results to MVTV. The system automatically monitored QoS and QoE parameters, streamlining the quality control process throughout the content delivery stages. If necessary, Elecard Boro offered the “All Renditions” mode, enabling monitoring of all stream variants.

Scalability was another advantageous aspect of Elecard Boro. The solution presented no limitations on the number of monitored streams, providing MVTV with flexibility for future expansion and meeting emerging requirements.

Implementing Elecard Boro monitoring system into MVTV’s workflows was a seamless process, completed in less than three days. With Elecard Boro probes successfully monitoring 100 HLS streams across the headend and content distribution networks, data collection was transmitted to the Elecard server for examination by MVTV’s technical staff. On a daily basis, ten staff members utilized the monitoring system effectively.
